Description	:	Leonard Muhle, age 81 of Columbus, died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Lincoln. Funeral services are 10:30 am Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Peace Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Michael V. Klatt officiating. Visitation is on Monday from 4-7 pm at McKown Funeral Home and continues on Tuesday from 9:30 am until service time at the church. There will be a 10:15 am family prayer service Tuesday also at the church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery will follow a luncheon at the church. Leonard Muhle was born December 7, 1938 in Columbus to Frankie and Gertrude (Neuman) Muhle. He grew up on the family farm north of Richland. Leonard was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s-Shell Creek. He attended District 23 and Schuyler High School. Leonard married Judy Aerni on November 27, 1960 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus. Leonard farmed his entire life. He served in the Army National Guard for 8 years in the Columbus unit. Leonard was a member of Peace Lutheran Church where he was involved in several boards. He enjoyed going to coffee with his friends and returning to the farm to help the Oehlrich’s. He is survived by: Wife Judy Muhle of Columbus Son Todd Muhle of Columbus Son Kurt Muhle of Valley 2 Grandsons 2 Great Grandsons Sisters-in-Law Sharon (Ted) Otte and Betty Giesselmann Several Nieces and Nephews Special family friends the Oehlrich’s and the Cutsor’s Dog Zoe He is preceded in death by: Parents Frankie and Gertrude Muhle One brother in infancy Brother-in-law Darryl Giesselmann
