Erisman Set For Tuesday CAMBRIDGE CITY - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Howard and Sons Funeral Home for Leonard K. Erisman, age 34, who took his own life Friday on a farm south of Milton. (His birth year was approximated.) Reverend R. A. Albert of Ellerton, OH will officiate. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in East Germantown. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time. The body was found in a car Saturday by State Troopers, Lucien Bever and Harold Johnson of Connersville, after the presence of a car on his farm had been reported by Dale Reed; a high school classmate of Mr. Erisman. From letters found in the car, officers determined Erisman drove to the spot sometime late Friday afternoon. Erisman left five notes in the car, one addressed to "Whom It May Concern" and sealed notes to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Erisman, 121 Infirmary Road, Dayton, OH with whom he lived; to his brother-in-law, Don Dillon of Milton, to the Masonic Blue Lodge #5 at Cambridge City and to the Dayton Valley Scottish Rite Lodge at Dayton where he held memberships. The notes indicated an illness was the cause of his action, the officers stated. Erisman was an inspector for the National Cash Register Company in Dayton, OH and manager of the company's all-girl basketball team. He had lived in Milton most of his life until moving to Dayton five years ago. He graduated in 1936 from Milton High School where he was student manager of the school's basketball squad. He is a veteran of WWII and saw action in Europe with an engineer battalion. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Ellerton, OH. The only immediate survivors are his parents.
