Mr. Prindle was born in Iona, Ark., and had lived in Mitchellville as a youth. He had lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Carlisle five years ago. He was a retired tirebuilder with Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. in Des Moines and a member of the local United Rubber Workers union. He enjoyed playing miniature golf and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Mae, two daughters, Vicky Diltz of San Diego and Karen Cory of Des Moines; a son, Dennis of Des Moines; a half sister, Virginia Lloyd of San Benito, Texas, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to his church. ~ Des Moines Register, August 2 or 3, 2002
