Description	:	Leonard Leland Albright 7/14/1925 - 11/01/2007 Leonard Leland Albright was born July 14, 1925 to Auburn Native Milton Albright and Hazel Albright. He was the youngest of seven children. Leonard passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving wife of 58 years, children and many family members on November 1, 2007. Leonard grew up in Auburn and Newcastle and raised his own family of three in Auburn. He went to school in this area and also enjoyed racing his jalopy at what is now the Auburn Fairgrounds. Leonard passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving wife of 58 years, children and many family members on November 1, 2007. Leonard grew up in Auburn and Newcastle and raised his own family of three in Auburn. He went to school in this area and also enjoyed racing his jalopy at what is now the Auburn Fairgrounds. He met his wife in Auburn and they were married at the Pioneer Methodist Church. Leonard went to work for Pacific Telephone as an Inspector Repairman where he retired after 35 years of employment, never missing a sick day. Together Leonard and Beverly enjoyed jeeping, the desert, the ocean and traveling in their motor home and of course spending time with their friends and family. Leonard served in the Merchant Marines, was a member of the Auburn Elks, Telephone Pioneers and The Placer Crawlers motor home group. He is survived by his wife and children. Sister Dora Albright preceded him in death. Len leaves behind many other loving friends and family in the Auburn and outlying areas. Visitation will be held at Lassila Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Thursday November 8, 2007 at 10 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the New Auburn Cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to the American Lung Association, the Pioneer Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. Published in Gold Country Media Newspapers November 6 to November 8, 2007 Names of living relatives removed.
