Description	:	Leonard Ray Friend, 63, of Freshwater, died Friday in a local hospital after an extended illness. He was a veteran of World War I, was a native of Bridgeville, and had lived all of his life in this part of the country. By occupation, he was a retired rancher. Surviving relatives include his wife, Viola Friend, of Freshwater; two sons, Homer L. Friend of Bridgeville, and Ray T. Friend of Eureka; a daughter, Mrs. Flourilla Nelson of Shady Cove, Oregon; a brother, Fred Friend, of Harris; seven Grandchildren and many other relatives.
