Read More	Leonard Roark Jr., 72, of 304 Belvue Drive, Union, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at Regional Hospice House. Mr. Roark was the beloved husband of Miriam Wilson Roark for 52 years. Mr. Roark was born in Union, Aug. 25, 1934, a son of the late Leonard Roark Sr. and Lucille Vinson Roark. He retired from United Merchants & Mfg. - Union Plant, after 42 years. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, a Mason, and an avid fisherman, racing fan and guitarist. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Emily R. Paluszak and husband John of Spartanburg, and Elaine R. Thomas of Oakboro, N.C.; two sons, Leonard S. Roark and wife Amy of Clinton, and Kenneth E. Roark and wife Sara of Union; three sisters, Jackie Crouch and husband Alan of Daytona Beach, Fla., Evelyn Roberts of Flint Mich., and Connie Hyatt and husband Ernest of Union; a brother, Broadus Roark of Union; 12 grandchildren, Julie Roark, Crystal Roark, David Roark, Kasie Roark, Sara Kate Thomas, Henry Wilson Thomas, Mary-Wilson Paluszak, Philip Paluszak, Joseph Paluszak, Gabriel Paluszak, Peter Paluszak and Emma Paluszak; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Roark was predeceased by a son, Ricky J. Roark and three brothers, Eugene Roark, Lewis Roark and William Roark. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at Tabernacle Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Dr. Alistair Walker, Chaplain Randy Travis and the Rev. Tommy McManess. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mr. Roark's cousins and nephews. The following are asked to assemble at the church at 3:45 p.m. to form the honorary eEscort: Members of the J.C. Jolly Sunday School Class, Chief Sam White, William Smith, Russell Roark Jr., Vincent Mallott, Cecil Gault and Al Smith. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 Tuesday night at the S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, S.C. 29303.
