Description	:	Leonard Robert Seaton was born in Green County, PA, October 18, 1836 died at his home in Millersburg, August 31, 1916. He came with his parents to Iowa when he was 12 years old, settled in Des Moines County, later in Jasper County. There he was married to miss Harriett Dearinger in 1860. He came with his parents to Iowa when he was 12 years old, settled in Des Moines County, later in Jasper County. There he was married to miss Harriett Dearinger in 1860. In 1866 they came to Iowa County where they settled on a farm west of town. Four years ago they moved into Millersburg.He was the father of five children, George, John, Cora, McClellan and Frank. Cora died 28 years ago. The boys were all present at the funeral except John, who lives in Kansas. He had been here just a week before and could not come back just then. He leaves besides his wife and sons, 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives. He was one of those men, tat everyone loved; when anyone spoke of him it was always with this remark, he is a good man andno higher praise can be given to anyone. He was always ready to help the needy, look after the poor and always a good word for everyone. He had his ups and downs in life, had seen many changes. He was a memeber of the M E Church and was a thorough Christian. Funeral was held at the M E Church in Millersburg conducted by Rev Hehner, of North English, asissted by Rev Cole. The immense crowd at the funeral attested to the love and esteem in which he was held; after the ceremony he was laid to rest at the cemetery east of town. The entire community extends sympathy to the breaved family.
