Description	:	Leonard S. Roso, 89, Watertown, died Mar 21, 2011, in a care center at Lake Norden. Leonard Selwyn Roso was born May 31, 1921, to Enoch and Sigrid (Olson) Roso in Bradley. He grew up in the Bradley-Garden City area and served in the U.S. Army Artillery from 1942 to 1943 during World War II. He farmed with his father for many years, worked for several area farmers and hauled seed corn for six years. Roso, 89, Watertown, died Mar 21, 2011, in a care center at Lake Norden. Leonard Selwyn Roso was born May 31, 1921, to Enoch and Sigrid (Olson) Roso in Bradley. He grew up in the Bradley-Garden City area and served in the U.S. Army Artillery from 1942 to 1943 during World War II. He farmed with his father for many years, worked for several area farmers and hauled seed corn for six years. Shortly after the death of his father, he married Blanche Mae Feuerstein-Spurrell Mar 8, 1980, in Watertown. He was a resident of Golden Living Center since March of 2008. His wife died Nov 1, 2009. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church-St. John's Lutheran Church in Bradley, serving on the church council and served on the township board of Cottonwood-Clark. He transferred to the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer in 1980. He was also a member of the Bradley American Legion, of which he served as past commander and was a life member of the DAV of Watertown. He enjoyed being outdoors and farming. He and his wife enjoyed taking bus trips around the United States. Survivors include his stepchildren, Teri (Dan) McBride of Watertown, Sherrie (Jim) Bludorn of Mesa, AZ, Gary (Pam) Spurrell of Lexington, KY, and Dawn Spurrell-Robinson of Hawaii; and his stepgrandchildren.
