She married Earl Roe on Dec. 27, 1939, at Yankton, S.D. She worked with her husband in the insurance and real estate business. They operated an income tax service for many years." She was instrumental in creation of the Plainview Manor and Evergreen Village, serving on both boards for many years. She was also helped in publication of the Plainview Centennial History Book. In 1990, she received Plainview's Outstanding Citizen Award." She was survived by her daughter and 2 granddaughters. "She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother."
