Hillsboro, Ohio August 26, 1958 MRS. STANLEY STOWE Mrs. Nellie Karnes, Stowe, 74, formerly of Highland County, died at her home on 339 Summit St., Marion, Ohio, Sunday at 5:15 P.M. She was taken ill on August 14. She was born August 9, 1884 near Greenfield, the daughter of Joseph and Gertrude Miller Karnes, both natives of Highland County. She was the only daughter in the family of eight. She is survived by her husband, Stanley B. Stowe, whom she married October 14, 1909; one daughter, Mrs. Russell C. Shipman, of Alliance; three brothers, George, Clarence and John, all of Highland County. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the Snaffner-Denzer funeral home at 360 E. Center St., Marion, Ohio, with the Rev. Paul W. Hollenback officiating. Committal services with the Rev. Frank Milner officiating will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg, Ohio at 1 P.M. Wednesday. The Stowes moved to Marion from Amelia about 1920. Mrs. Stowe was a member of Epworth Methodist Church in Marion and a former member of the Fall Creek Friends Church in this county.
