Read More	Leora Gertrude Frickle, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away on Sept. 20, 2013, surrounded by her family amid a chorus of prayer, song and the joy of knowing she is joining husband Roy and Jesus her Lord for eternity. Leora was born July 5, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Pete and Ernestine Thelen. She and her twin brother Loren where the second and third youngest of seven children. The oil fields took the family to Wyoming and then on to Billings, where they settled for good in 1944. Leora graduated from Billings Senior High School and then pursued a nursing career at Carroll College. That plan changed when she developed rheumatic fever and her doctors advised her against having any children. Feisty Leora decided to trust God instead and she and her "best pal" Roy Frickle were married July 1, 1950 and had nine healthy children. This incredibly strong faith was passed on to each of her nine children as she led by example with a life of prayer and an unwavering belief in Jesus Christ. Leora was a life-long member of St. Pius X parish and loved her church and her spiritual journey there. Loved and cherished by her children and adored by her grandkids, her humility was such that she never wanted to be the center of attention. At the hundreds of family gatherings, family would vie for the seat next to her because of her amazing gift of making one feel loved and the center of attention. Her gifts were many-- she could humor you with great one liner's, entertain you with you a story, pray for your hurts or just be there to listen. Leora was preceded in death by her husband Roy; brothers Jim Thelen, Loren Thelen and Dick Thelen; sisters Marion Hanchett and Gloria Frickle; and brothers- in- law John Hanchett, Wally Frickle and Bill Glennon. Leora is survived by her nine children, Kathy Schruth and husband Tim, of Billings, Dan Frickle and wife Sherrill, of Billings, Ann Merkel and husband Steve, of Colorado Springs, Jane Anderson and husband Craig, of Billings, Joe Frickle, of Dallas, Mary Meyer and husband Leonard, of Billings, Linda and husband Mike Schieno, of Billings, Patty Strellnauer and husband Scott of Kalispell, and John Maxwell and wife Eva of Denver. Her life will also be lovingly remembered by her 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Thank you Leora for your sweet and humble nature and for the gift of love and faith that you endowed upon your family. Cremation will take place. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, at St. Pius X Church. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, also at St. Pius X Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Riverstone Hospice with special thanks to Amber and Pam.
