Leora was born on March 17, 1932 in West Dover, NS and was the daughter of the late Wallace and Prudence (Longard) Zinck, of Halifax NS. Leora loved the Lord with all her heart and was faithful as a church organist at (Old) Faith Tabernacle, Halifax, and Calvary Temple, Mahone Bay, for many years. Read More	Leora Stevens 1932-2016 STEVENS , Leora Sylvia - 84, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on December 31, 2016 in Hillside Pines Home For Special Care, Bridgewater. Leora was born on March 17, 1932 in West Dover, NS and was the daughter of the late Wallace and Prudence (Longard) Zinck, of Halifax NS. Leora loved the Lord with all her heart and was faithful as a church organist at (Old) Faith Tabernacle, Halifax, and Calvary Temple, Mahone Bay, for many years. She loved music and singing and playing around the piano was a favorite pastime. She was an avid gardener and spent many hours planning and planting flower containers and gardens in Second Peninsula. She loved to cook, bake and care for people. There was always extra food for unexpected guests. With a quick wit and ready smile, she was always ready to have a good laugh. She was at her happiest with her children and grandchildren around her. Surviving are her sons Ronald (Trina) Graves, Conquerall Mills, Peter (Angela) Graves, Blockhouse, Todd (Suzanne) Graves, Springfield Missouri; daughter Beverley (David) King, Yarmouth; many grandchildren; great-granddaughters; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Maxwell Gilbert Graves; second husband Harold Warton Stevens; daughter Rhonda Himmelman; brothers Aldon Zinck, Percy Zinck; sister Barbara Haines. Visitation will be 7-9pm Tuesday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, and also where funeral service will be held 11:00am Wednesday with Pastor James Haughn Officiating. Private family interment will be held in Second Peninsula Cemetery. Family Flowers only. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
