Description	:	CENTRAL CITY — Leota G. Hack, 87, of Central City died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Leota was born on June 7, 1929, to William and Clara (Stephens) Mason in Arnold. She attended school in Arnold through 2nd grade; other schools attended were Mason City and Litchfield Schools. At age 12, she moved with her family from Arnold to Albion. Hack, 87, of Central City died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery. Leota was born on June 7, 1929, to William and Clara (Stephens) Mason in Arnold. She attended school in Arnold through 2nd grade; other schools attended were Mason City and Litchfield Schools. At age 12, she moved with her family from Arnold to Albion. Leota lived her teenage years in Fullerton and attended schools in Fullerton and Aurora. While living there, she met and married James Bahn on Nov. 14, 1946. Leota moved to Central City in 1952. She worked at the Little Diner in Grand Island, the Cold Storage Plant in York, and Central City Cold Storage. She met Arden Hack in January 1958 and they were married on June 7, 1959, in the Christian Church in Central City. The couple lived all their married life in Central City. Arden died on Oct. 12, 2005. Leota is survived by a son, Steve Hack of Jefferson, Iowa; two daughters, Brenda Hack of Grand Island, and Linda Sowder of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Anna Rempel of Grand Island; a stepbrother, Arthur; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Day; brothers, Donivan Mason and Roy Mason; and stepbrother, Fred.
