Leota was born on March 11, 1916 in Protection, Kansas to Lillie (Johnson) and Harrison Duncan. In 1935, she married Claude Bibb who later died July 25, 1970. In 1972 she married James S. Leota was born on March 11, 1916 in Protection, Kansas to Lillie (Johnson) and Harrison Duncan. In 1935, she married Claude Bibb who later died July 25, 1970. In 1972 she married James S. Edward, who later died in March 1989. She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Clifford, Carol, Delaine, Dean and Bobby Duncan and 2 sisters, Lorena Pope and Betty Merrill. She is survived by a son, Jerry Bibb and wife Syble of Rose Hill; stepsons, Jim, Jack & Tom Edwards; sisters, Deloris Smith and Merry Edwards; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Leota taught in one room school houses at Coy and Friend school in Oklahoma. For over 25 years she prepared taxes for Heller Tax Service in El Dorado, Ks. until she retired at the age of 84.
