Read More	Wenatchee World - August 21, 1996 Waterville Lepha Pearl Viebrock, 96, a longtime Waterville area resident, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 18, 1996, as the result of an automobile accident north of Douglas. She was born Jan. 22, 1900, at Kooskia, Idaho, to Bont and Mary Jane (Imlay) Patterson. At an early age she moved with her family to the Aeneas Valley. She attended schools at Republic, graduating from Republic High School in 1920. She later attended Cheney Normal School where she received her teaching certificate. She taught school at Ritzville, La Grande, Ore., Republic and the Viebrock School near Douglas. It was there she met Carl H. Viebrock and they were married on Nov. 24, 1927, at Longview. The couple made their first home near Douglas, where she remained until moving to Wenatchee in 1990. They adopted daughters Shirley and Myrna, raised several foster children and numerous nephews and nieces were always around. Lepha was a member of the Waterville United Lutheran Church and an active member of the Mary Martha Society and women's group of the church. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Myrna and Bob Regan of East Wenatchee; a brother, Bill Patterson of John Day, Ore.; three sisters, Genevieve Tucker of College Place, Mary Sullivan of Port Townsend, and Helen Fitzgerald of La Grande, Ore.; four grandsons, Matt Regan of Waterville, Carl Askew of Puyallup, Dale Askew of Seattle and Scott Askew of Lacey; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl in 1986, a daughter in the same accident, and two sisters. Arrangements are by the Waterville Funeral Home. LEPHA PEARL VIEBROCK - Funeral services for Lepha P. Viebrock, 96, of Waterville will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon, August 22, 1996 in the Waterville United Lutheran Church with Rev. Jim Rogers officiating. If desired, memorials may be made to the Waterville Ambulance Fund in Lepha's name. Concluding services and the interment will follow in the Waterville Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Waterville Funeral Home.
