(Summers) Potter. LeRoy attended school at Sumner (NE.) High School.He worked on the farm and fed cattle. He worked for some time at a ranch near Bridgeport. LeRoy was born December 16, 1944 at Sumner, Nebraska to Lloyd E. and Laura A. (Summers) Potter. LeRoy attended school at Sumner (NE.) High School.He worked on the farm and fed cattle. He worked for some time at a ranch near Bridgeport. LeRoy was united in marriage to Mary Jane Griffin on September 28, 1964 at Lee Summit, Missouri. To this union three daughters were born, Tenley, Tonya and Tammy. The couple moved to the St. Paul, Nebraska area in 1969, where LeRoy worked at Havlik Locker for many years. For a short time he worked at the Dannebrog (NE.) Locker. LeRoy went to work at ConAgra until his health failed and he retired. LeRoy took very good care of his wife especially when her health worsened. LeRoy had a great love for his family and friends. He enjoyed his cups of coffee and visits with people. He loved traveling and the road trips to see the country sides. He had a special love for his dog. His other pastimes were playing cards and going to the casinos. Leoy is survived by: daughters and sons-in-law, Tenley & David Jansen of Central City, Nebraska, Tonya & Martin Denton of Holdrege, Nebraska and Tammy & Timothy Sheehan of Central City, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Wilbert & Marie Potter of St. Paul, Nebraska; sisters, Virginia McCurdy of Wood River, Nebraska and Dorothy "Dot" Krance of Palmer, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. LeRoy is preceded in death by: parents; wife, Mary Jane Potter on July 14, 2012 and sister, Margaret "Peg" Parks. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul, Nebraska.
