LeRoy was born on Feb. 20, 1941, in Billings to Alec and Amelia (Miller) Bangert. He had an older brother, Robert, and a younger sister, Eileen. The family farmed land off of Hesper Road. LeRoy eventually took over the farm and enjoyed farming and raising cattle for many years. LeRoy was born on Feb. 20, 1941, in Billings to Alec and Amelia (Miller) Bangert. He had an older brother, Robert, and a younger sister, Eileen. The family farmed land off of Hesper Road. LeRoy eventually took over the farm and enjoyed farming and raising cattle for many years. Eventually moving to town, he sold real estate, then sold cars for Pierce Automotive and drove the school bus for School District 2. LeRoy enjoyed building and flying model airplanes and restoring his beloved 1929 Model A, which he built from the frame up. He married Linda Langfiet, and of this union had three children: Karri, Mike and Donna. He later married Jane Frank who also had three children: Rod, Jeff and Jan. Forming what the family always referred to as their own little "Brady bunch" of three boys and three girls. LeRoy is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jane; his children, Karri Vialpando of Kalispell, Mike Bangert (Vicky) of Billings, Donna (Dennis) Dummer of Dickeyville Wis., Rod (Paula) Frank of San Diego, Jeff (Renae) Frank of Las Vegas and Jan (Charlie) Schott of Billings; his sister, Eileen (Harvey) Roemmich of Red Lodge; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert and his mother and father. The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice for their compassionate care and support. Memorial services will be planned this summer. Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
