LeRoy was born November 21, 1926 on the family farm, west of Holdrege, Nebraska, the second of three children of Albert Leonard and Hilma (Olson) Sundquist. LeRoy attended school at Holdrege (NE.) Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1944. LeRoy then engaged in farming. Read More	LeRoy Dwayne Sundquist, of Holdrege, Nebraska, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Phelps Memorial Health Center, Holdrege, Nebraska. LeRoy was born November 21, 1926 on the family farm, west of Holdrege, Nebraska, the second of three children of Albert Leonard and Hilma (Olson) Sundquist. LeRoy attended school at Holdrege (NE.) Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1944. LeRoy then engaged in farming. On October 22, 1950, he was united in marriage to Dora Mae Harms in Hildreth, Nebraska and to this union three children were born: Patricia, Gale and David Lee. The family made their home west of Holdrege, Nebraska on a farm. LeRoy was a life time member of the Bethel Lutheran Church, Holdrege, Nebraska. He was baptized on May 20, 1927 and confirmed on August 24, 1941. In 2003, LeRoy retired after over 50 years of farming and he and Dora Mae made their home in town. LeRoy enjoyed farming and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. LeRoy was preceded in death by: parents; son, David Lee Sundquist in 1961; great-grandson, Kale Soneson in January 2011; sister, LaVona VanMatre Redden and her husband, Lloyd Redden; sister-in-law, Dorothy Woollen and her husband, William; and brothers-in-law: Albert, Bill, Alvin, Emil and Ray Harms. LeRoy is survived by: devoted wife of 62 years, Dora Mae Sundquist; daughters: Patricia Bartels and her husband, Dan of Lincoln, Nebraska and Gale Anderson and her husband, Allen of Holdrege, Nebraska; egrandchildren: Jenny Jirak and her fiancé, Brad Snyder of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jessie Drohman and her husband, Landon of Lincoln, Nebraska, Jamie Rooks and her husband, LaRon of Holdrege, Nebraska, Abbie Soneson and her husband, Brent of Holdrege, Nebraska, Brian Bartels of Dayton, Ohio, Lindsay Sullivan and her husband, Dylan of Aurora, Nebraska, Alisha Bartels of Lincoln, Nebraska and Blake Anderson of Holdrege, Nebraska; great-grandchildren: Alex, Gabby, Edyn, Kaleb, Charley, Makenzie, Wyatt and Kyler; sister, Rosemary Renken and her husband, Roger of Bertrand, Nebraska; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Harms of Holdrege, Nebraska, Louise Harms of Wilcox, Nebraska, Virginia Harms of Holdrege, Nebraska, Mary Jo Harms of Wilcox, Nebraska and Gracia Harms of Waverly, Iowa and a host of extended family and friends.
