Description	:	Funeral services are being held this Monday afternoon at the Christian Church in Shenandoah for Fleet Miller, 82, long-time Page County farmer, who died Friday at the hospital in Shenandoah. He had been a patient at the hospital for several weeks prior to his death at 11:30 am on June 22. He and his wife had celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last Dec 20. When Mr Miller retired from farming in the Norwich-Yorktown vicinity, the couple moved to Shenandoah where he had recently been associated with his son, Leroy, in the implement business. His wife, Inez, has three children with her as survivors, Mrs Fred Tomlinson and Lyle Miller of Clarinda, Leroy Miller of Shenandoah. A brother of Mr Miller is Clark Miller of Weslaco, Tex, and sister Mrs Fred Hallembeak of Hanover, Kans, and daughter-in-law, Mrs J. Harold Miller of Peoria, Ill. Ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren are counted in the family. Burial is to be in Summitt Cemetery north of Yorktown. CLARINDA HERALD-JOURNAL, Clarinda, Iowa, Jun 25, 1962 Leroy Fleetwood Miller, son of Webster Clark and Maggie Ann Miller was born near Clarinda, Iowa, Dec 8, 1879 and passed away at the Hand hospital Friday, June 22, 1962. He received his education in the rural schools of Page County. He was united in marriage to Inez Stitt, Dec 20, 1906 at the bride's home near Yorktown. To this union were born four sons, James Harold, Leroy Stitt, Lawerence K., Ermal Lyle and one daughter, Bertha. He joined the Presbyterian Church at Yorktown, and later transferred membership to the First Presbyterian Church at Clarinda. In 1946 when the family moved to Shenandoah and he [united] with the First Presbyterian Church, remaining a member until his death. He was engaged in farming near Clarinda until 1946, after which he was associated with his son, Leroy in the implement business in Shenandoah. He is survived by his wife, Inez; two sons, Leroy S. of Shenandoah, Lyle of Clarinda, daughter, Mrs Fred Tomlinson (Bertha) of Clarinda; one daughter-in-law, Mrs J. Harold Miller of Peoria, Ill, brother Clark E. Weslaco, Tex, sister, Mrs Fred Hollembeak, Hanover, Kans, sister-in-law Mrs Warren Miller of Clarinda; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Harold at age of 42 and Lawerence who died in infancy, four brothers and four sisters. Memorial services were June 25 from the First Presbyterian Church by the Rev William R. Beattie. Mrs Larry Neal, soloist, sang "Rock of Ages" and "God Will Take Care of You," to the accompaniment of Miss Florence Crane. Mrs Merle Baker, Mrs W.A. Elder, Mrs Elmer Lindberg and Mrs James McCanie took charge of the floral tributes, and Mrs Martin Connor and Mrs Ernest Thomson the memory book. Claude Clovis and Clifford Hamm were ushers. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Duncan, Work Kelly, Elmer Lindberg, Ernest Thomson, Henry Tripp and Ermal Wilson. Pallbearers were Earl Baker, Merle Baker, Merrill Mathewson, Ursal Ranck, Eugene Smith and Dale Thomson. Interment was at Summit Cemetery at Yorktown.
