Robison, 88, of Bloomfield, formerly of Milton, died at 2:03 pm Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at Davis County Hospital Long Term Care Unit, where he had resided since Feb. 9, 2009 He was born Oct. 30, 1923, near Birmingham, to Roy A. and Bertha Parsons Robison. He married Dorothy Lane Feb. 20, 1926, in Iowa City. Leroy graduated from Milton High School, served in the U.S.Navy during world War II and spent his active life farming near Milton. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, was a Past Commander of Russell-Strait Post 481, American Legion, and had been active in Milton Lions Club and Milton Neighborhood Watch, all in Milton. Surviving are his wife, Dorothy of Bloomfield; a daughter, Lyla Bodkins(Ed)of Jackson, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Christi Asher(Jimmy), Kelli Eckwall(Terry), Ronald Moore(Jen), Angela James(Brian)and Troy Bodkins; eight great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Connie Moore, and two brothers, Wayne Robison and an infant brother. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua; with Kevvin Gingerich officiating. Burial with military rites by Russell-Strait Post will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton. Visitation will start at 2 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, with family present 5-7 pm. Memorials to Grace United Methodist Church, Russell-Strait Post or Friends of Lake Wapello.
