Description	:	LeRoy L. Schrank, 75, of Sioux Falls, SD died Friday, April 3, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. His memorial service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, September 12 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. The family will greet friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. LeRoy Louis Schrank, son of Walter W. Schrank and Leona C. (Hohn) Schrank, was born February 16, 1945 in Mitchell, SD. LeRoy worked as a local and over-the-road truck driver for over 50 years. LeRoy had a love for westerns, guns, happy hours, family and his pets. Even though he spent many hours over the road, everyone always knew they could count on him. LeRoy and his famous cucumbers will be greatly missed. The engraving on the back of LeRoy’s headstone reads as follows. "I've driven all my miles, now I can sleep. Family and friends filled me with smiles, I ask that you do not weep". Grateful for having shared his life are six children, Roy Schrank, Valley Springs, SD, Melissa Green and her husband, Richard, Denver, CO, Sweet Fisher, Sioux Falls, SD, Summer Bilben and her husband, Jeff, Sartell, MN, Stewart Polzin and Lori Marken, Sioux Falls, SD, Seri Maassen and her husband, Mark, Sioux Falls, SD; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Jim Schrank and his wife, Susan, Sioux Falls, SD; a siser, Tina Walraven and her husband, Donald, Erwin, SD; and many other relatives and friends. LeRoy was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol; his parents, Walter and Leona Schrank; and a brother, Dennis Schrank. For those who wish to follow, immediately following the memorial service, we will be taking his urn to the Blooming Valley Cemetery in Corsica, SD and lay him to rest. After returning from Corsica, we will meet at the Upper Cut for one last happy hour in his memory. - George Boom Funeral Home
