He was killed in the second day of fighting at the Battle of the Bulge, The Ardennes Offensive: Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany on December 17, 1944. Leroy was a of Roy Lee and Zelda Loree McCrain Morris and was also survived by one brother; William Morris, 6 sisters; Mrs. Frances McDaniel, Mrs. Bonnie Culbreth, Misses Alma, Barbara, Nancy and Brenda Morris.
