Description	:	LeRoy P. Ross, 70, of New Market died Friday night at Municipal Hospital where he had been a patient for 11 days. He was born Aug 29, 1906, the son of Lemuel Ross and Fleta Besser, and was married to Letha Ridnour in 1928. Mr and Mrs Ross had lived away from this area for a number of years, returning to New Market in 1973 to retire. Mrs Ross died Jan 28 of this year. Survivors include three children, Leon Ross of Clio, Mich; Darlene Teachworth of Flushing, Mich and Jerry Ross of West Chicago, Ill. There are 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Brothers are Cecil H. Ross of New Market and Paul C. Ross of Nebraska City, Neb and sisters are Lela Keith of Shenandoah, Alice Glasgow of New Market and Audrey Johnston of North Liberty. Ross was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister and one brother. Funeral services were held this Monday afternoon at Walker Funeral Home with Loren Daly officiating. Shirley Larson was soloist and Lois Moore organist. Casketbearers were Jerry Ross, Leon Ross, David Abbott, Arthur Burnham, Steven Abbott and Rick Sherman.
