Description	:	Red was born in Anamoose, North Dakota to Henry and Katherina Priester, the youngest of eleven children. He worked on the family farm between 1946 and 1953 after formal schooling in Sanish township. He then entered the United States Army, serving in Korea until honorably discharged in 1955. He returned to New Town, North Dakota to work in the oil fields and on the original Four Bears Bridge. He met his future wife, Rosella Osborn, there. Read More	Red was born in Anamoose, North Dakota to Henry and Katherina Priester, the youngest of eleven children. He worked on the family farm between 1946 and 1953 after formal schooling in Sanish township. He then entered the United States Army, serving in Korea until honorably discharged in 1955. He returned to New Town, North Dakota to work in the oil fields and on the original Four Bears Bridge. He met his future wife, Rosella Osborn, there. Red and Rosella were married on July 21, 1956 in Parshall, and made their home in New Town. They moved to California in 1960 where Red started work for Alcorn Fence Company. They lived in several communities, La Puente, Baldwin Park, San Dimas and Apple Valley, raising three sons. After 33 years, he retired in 1994 and settled in Dayton, Nevada. Red's family was affiliated with Ascension Lutheran Church in West Covina, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Ironworkers Local 433, and Bassett Little League, and he helped found Baldwin Park National Little League, building most of the fields there. In retirement, Red loved gardening, woodworking, and trying for the elusive Royal Flush in video poker. Red's ten siblings preceded him in death: Alvin, Alice (Priester), Laura (Davis), James, Fred, John, Verna (Holt), Donald "Buddy", Mavis (Allen), and Adrian "Fox". He was also preceded in death by his wife Rosella in November 2002 after 46 years of marriage. He is survived by three sons: Lonnie and his wife Milena of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; Brian and his wife Finelli of Fernley and Henderson, NV, and; Scott and his wife Ramona of Victorville, CA, as well as 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
