Read More	The Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, August 23, 1928 Lessie Mabel McCorkle was born at Superior, Nebraska, May 10th, 1887 and passed away August 14th 1928 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital. She spent most of her girlhood in Superior and was a graduate of the Superior High School. On October 14th, 1908 she was united in marriage with Wm. Merrill Wright. From early childhood she has been a faithful member of the Presbyterian church. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, daughter Aileen and baby son, Robert Merrill, and her mother, Mrs. Olive McCorkle, and five sisters as follows: Mrs. Ada Hilyard, Holyoke, Colorado; Mrs. Alma Akers, Marshalltown, Iowa; Mrs. Lois Miller, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. Kathryn Riley, Dearborn, Michigan; Mrs. Eunice Rutledge, Brock, Nebraska. The funeral was held at the First Presbyterian church (sic) Friday afternoon August 17th, 1928. The large crowd present proved the large circle of her friends. In the absence of her pastor, Rev. Henry, Rev. H.G. Langley gave a beautiful and comforting version from verses one and two of the fourteenth chapter of St. John. A quartette of Messrs. Joe Hilyard, John Eyre, Fred Day and Earl Lionberger sang three beautiful numbers. A host of friends will miss her cheerful greetings and kind deeds.
