He was born May 18, 1908, in Douds to Jefferson Jesse and Freda Ellen Christy Breckenridge. He married Ella Mae Guthrie on July 6,1958, in Ottumwa. She died Jan. 9. 1976. He had worked for the C.B. & Q/Rock Island and Santa Fe railroads. He was an ordained deacon of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a member of 732nd Railway Operating Battalion, Walter B. Shaefer Post #775 and V.F.W. He is survived by a sister, Irene Moore of Buckner, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Orville and Roscoe; two sisters, Agnes Howard and Ethel Milligan; and a stepbrother, Wes Dunning. The service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Alexander-Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military honors. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. today at the funeral chapel. Pallbearers will be Walter B. Shaefer Post #775 and V.F.W. members. Memorials may be made to the Reorganized Church
