Tennant, age 77 years, of Wymore, (NE) died Sunday, June 21, 1987 at Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. He was born September 28, 1909 on a farm southwest of Pawnee City. He was a 1927 graduate of Pawnee City High School. He farmed in the Mission Creek vicinity, and then was employed by the Co-Op Elevator at Burchard and Virginia for 10 years, retiring in 1974. Following retirement, he worked for the Green Thumb at Pawnee City. He moved to Wymore in 1980 from Burchard. He was a member of the Wymore United Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Dallas of Wymore, and Harold of Steinauer; by a daughter, Mary Rosendahl, of New Orleans, LA; a brother, Roy E. Tennant of Greenwood, NE; and by nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Luther and Ruth Elsie Beason Tennant. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, Wymore, with Bev. Ken Tuebbesing and Rev Cosme Pacot officiating. Burial was in the Mission Creek Cemetery, rural Liberty. Memorial to the Wymore Rescue Unit, the Cancer Fund, or the Diabetes Fund with the funeral home in charge.
