Mrs Vincent Johnson was soloist at the services accompanied by organist Miss Alice Underwood. Casket bearers were Ellys Green, Paul Phillips, Kenneth Johnson, Wilbur Jack, Harold Pierce & Vincent Johnson. Burial was in Jackson Township Cemetery. Mr Snook passed away at Grinnell General Hospital on Wed, Dec 30. The son of Mark and Mary Snook, he was born on a farm near Montezuma on 10 Aug 1905. He attended rural school and Montezuma High School. On 27 Mar 1927 he was united in marriage with Eva Tish and to this union were born eleven children. They lived in the community where he farmed until 8 years ago they moved to their present home in Deep River. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivers include his wife, Eva, their children, Willis Snook, Gladys Arthur, Frances Schillinger, Floyd Snook, Lucille Tish, Betty Van Dee, Edward Snook, Donald Snook, Eldon Snook, Keith Snook & Roy Snook; 33 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Cecil & Hughie Snook; 2 sisters, Berth Loftin & Ida Simpson. He was preceed in death by his parents; 2 brothers; 4 sisters; and a grandson, Michael Allen.
