Description	:	CHETOPA- L. Louise Peters, 87, of Chetopa died at 7:42 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2003, at the Chetopa Manor, where she had resided for two years. She was born March 19, 1916, in rural Bartlett to Claude and Mary (Pickering) Landrith. She attended Bartlett Grade School and Labette County Community High School in Altamont. She married Lloyd Peters on March 8, 1937, in... Read More	CHETOPA- L. Louise Peters, 87, of Chetopa died at 7:42 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2003, at the Chetopa Manor, where she had resided for two years. She was born March 19, 1916, in rural Bartlett to Claude and Mary (Pickering) Landrith. She attended Bartlett Grade School and Labette County Community High School in Altamont. Early in life she worked with her family on the farm and later with her husband and children at the farm in rural Bartlett. She lived in the Chetopa and Bartlett area all her life. She married Lloyd Peters on March 8, 1937, in Oswego. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1991. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Bartlett until it closed. She belonged to a Home Demonstration Unit, was a 4-H leader, a church pianist and organist and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include two sons, Luther Peters of Chetopa and Jim Peters of Sapulpa, Okla., seven grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Creek Cemetery of rural Bartlett with Ken Graves officiating. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Bath Funeral Home in Chetopa, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorials to the Bartlett First Christian Church Youth Group may be left at the funeral home, Box 346, Chetopa.
