Leta Mae was born on March 16, 1923 and was raised in Walhalla, North Dakota until moving to Bremerton, Washington in 1941. She married the love of her life, Edwin A. Moon on July 31, 1943 in Kingston, Washington and lived there until her passing. She was 92 years old. Read More	Leta Mae passed away on Dec. 26, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones at Harrison Hospital, Bremerton. Leta Mae was born on March 16, 1923 and was raised in Walhalla, North Dakota until moving to Bremerton, Washington in 1941. She married the love of her life, Edwin A. Moon on July 31, 1943 in Kingston, Washington and lived there until her passing. She was 92 years old. Leta Mae worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, and then the Bremerton School District as head cook in the kitchen until pursuing her dream as a ceramic artist, opening her own business as a ceramic shop owner, teaching classes in Kingston, Washington. Leta Mae taught Sunday school at Kingston Assembly of God Church for 20 years along with Missionette Program for Girls for 10 years, and belonged to the women’s ministries at Bayside Community Church. She also drove a bus for the special needs children to Holly Ridge School in Bremerton for many years after her retirement. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Moon; sisters, Doris Tetrault and Ceelo Brocket; son-in-law, Wayne Munn; and grandson, Jeffery Munn. Leta Mae is survived by her sister, Maurine and husband Jack; children, Juanita Martin (Rich), Ronald Moon (Judy), Larry Moon (Teresa), Marcia Moon, Ricky Moon (Diane) and Carmen Scalzo (Mike); as well as her 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
