Description	:	Leta Margaret Nordbrock, 96, of North Platte died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Linden Court Long Term Care Unit in North Platte. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wilcox with the Rev. Melvin Mertens officiating. Burial will be at Wilcox Cemetery. She was born Feb. 9, 1914, one mile north and one mile east of Wilcox in Kearney County to Jasper and Lavada (Termin) McNamara. On Feb. 2, 1933, she married Thomas Nordbrock at Kensington in Smith County, Kan. He died Dec. 27, 1996. Survivors include her granddaughters, Jeri Lynn Nordbrock and her husband, Terry Andrews, and Keri Williamson and her husband, John, all of Houston, and Marcia Lu Trego and her husband, Casey, of North Platte; great-grandchildren, Emily Williamson, John Williamson, Elizabeth Williamson, Theodora Andrews, Chase Trego and Carson Trego; sister, Mildred Wendell of Brush, Colo.; daughter-in-law, Connie (Stone) Klemm and her husband, Robert, of North Platte; other relatives; and many friends. She was the second of three children in her family. Leta attended schools at Wilcox where she graduated from high school with the class of 1932. She, Tom and their family resided on a farm one mile east and one mile north of Wilcox. After his death, Leta moved to the Regency Court in North Platte to be near her granddaughter. She had been a resident of Linden Court Long Term Care Unit in North Platte for the past two days. Leta was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Hildreth on April 14, 1935, by the Rev. E.R. Stolz. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wilcox where she was also a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father on March 9, 1959; her mother on March 30, 1973; son, Gerald Nordbrock on Feb. 7, 1999; sister, Pearl Almquist and her husband, Carl; brother-in-law, Loren Wendell; and granddaughter, Shelly Nordbrock.
