Description	:	Mrs. Letha C. Comegys, 99, of Frederick, died on Thursday, July 8, 2004, at the Citizens Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Cornelius R. Comegys, who died on Dec. 29, 1976. Born in Pocomoke City, on June 10, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Levin Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth Dykes Beauchamp. Comegys, 99, of Frederick, died on Thursday, July 8, 2004, at the Citizens Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Cornelius R. Comegys, who died on Dec. 29, 1976. Born in Pocomoke City, on June 10, 1905, she was a daughter of the late Levin Thomas and Sarah Elizabeth Dykes Beauchamp. Mrs. Comegys was a homemaker for most of her life and a member of the Hyattstown United Methodist Church. Surviving are her five children, Wallace L. "Pete" Comegys and wife Virginia, of Frederick, Eugene T. Comegys, of Frederick, Juanita Grimes, of Hagerstown, Arlene Hawkins, of Frederick, and Rose Marie Burgess, of Marion, Va.; one sister, Ida Johnson, of Emmitsburg; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 11, from 3 to 5 p.m., at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, at 11 a.m., from the Hyattstown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Morgan, officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Memorials and Tributes, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Va. 23058.
