Description	:	Letha Lenora Zigan Gundlach went to meet her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ and her husband Paul Gundlach March 10, 2010. Letha was the last of six children born to John and Lenora Zigan on Aug. 19, 1921. She and Paul lived in Hydesville for 65 years and were instumental in developing the town of Hydesville during those years. Letha had a passion for helping others in time of need. Read More	Letha Lenora Zigan Gundlach went to meet her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ and her husband Paul Gundlach March 10, 2010. Letha was the last of six children born to John and Lenora Zigan on Aug. 19, 1921. She and Paul lived in Hydesville for 65 years and were instumental in developing the town of Hydesville during those years. Letha had a passion for helping others in time of need. She was the local representative for the Red Cross and opened the local school and IOOF halls for victims of floods. She was always available to take on projects. She was president of the Hydesville School PTA for several years and went on to serve as a Hydesville School Board member for many years. She operated a cafe, across the street from the gas service station that she and Paul built together in 1949. She was a volunteer firewoman for the Hydesville Fire Dept. and was instrumental in raising funds to secure the first fire truck for the department. Paul and Letha were instrumental in raising funds to secure the first fire truck for the department. Paul and Letha were instrumental in organizaing the town of Hydesville's 100th Birthday party. Letha began a Child Evangelism Club in her home in the 40's and later had a passion to find property to move Triumphant Life Camp from Fort Seward to Larabee Valley. She obtained property from a friend, Ayn Victoria for a $1. Once the property was deeded she spearheaded the fundraising for cabins, cook house/dining hall and bath rooms that still stand today. She always maintained that the camp would be debt free so the buildings were only built when money was in the bank. Letha was a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, choir member and an active fundraiser for church projects. Letha is survived by her children Paula McHenry (Jack), Kay Chapman (Jack) and Ron Gundlach (Sandy). Her grandchildren: Brad McHenry (Jaimie), Janine Averill (Robert) and Rocky Chapman (Sherri), Terri Chapman, Jackie Curteman, Pam Fisher (Cory), Brent Gundlach (Rochelle). Great grandchildren: Liberty Wood, Ashton and Brianna Averill, Calen and Cody Curteman, Michael, Greg and Nicole Chapman, Emily, Camille and Daniel Fisher. Great great grandchildren: Autumn Wood, Ivy and Ella Chapman. She is also survived by her brother Stanford Zigan and his daughter Sandra plus many other nieces and nephews. Private interment services will be held March 15, 2010 at the Hydesville Cemetery. A celebration of Letha's life will be celebrated at the Campton Heights Baptist Church on 1655 Cecil Avenue in Fortuna March 16th, Tuesday, at 4 p.m. with Rev. Bob Atkinson presiding. In lieu of flowers please donate to the T.L.C. Scholarship Fund set up at US Bank, c/o Katharine Chapman. Arrangements are under the direction of Goble's Fortuna Mortuary, Fortuna.
