Mrs. Cavender was born in Lockhart, SC March 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Rev. L.D. Revis and Eula Pack Revis. She had attended Union County Schools; was a member of Union County Senior Citizens and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are a daughter, Cindy Hayes and special friend Dan Tumblin of Laurens; two sons: Danny Cavender and wife Pam and Steve Cavender all of Union; three sisters: Linda Carol Wilburn of Union, Doris Harrison and husband Jack of Boiling Springs and Louise Smith of Union; two brothers:Roy Revis of Spartanburg and Harold Revis of Union; four grandchildren: Nikki Harris and husband James, Chrystal Todd and husband Daniel, Andrew Cavender all of Union and Billy Cavender of Gastonia, NC and two great-grandchildren: Luke Harris and Cameron Todd. Mrs. Cavender was predeceased by a son, William B. “Bucky” Cavender and two brothers, Maxie Revis and Charles Revis. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Covenant Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ray Harold Belue. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 PM Friday evening at the SR Holcombe Funeral Home. The family is at the home of her son, Danny and Pam Cavender, 291 Hidden Forest Drive, Union.
