Description	:	Son of John Sires and Mary Jane Duff. It was a great shock to the people of this community at a little before the supper hour last Sunday evening when word was brought to town that Levi Sires of this city had suddenly passed away at the Gilbert Folsom farm. As we hear it, Mr. Sires was assisting Gilbert Folsom with building a new door on his barn at the farm a couple of miles southwest of Postville. It was a great shock to the people of this community at a little before the supper hour last Sunday evening when word was brought to town that Levi Sires of this city had suddenly passed away at the Gilbert Folsom farm. As we hear it, Mr. Sires was assisting Gilbert Folsom with building a new door on his barn at the farm a couple of miles southwest of Postville. Mr. Sires was on the outside of the door driving nails through the lumber, while Mr. Folsom was on the inside of the barn holding his hammer against the timber to steady it for Mr. Sires, and as the nails were driven in he would clinch them. Suddenly Mr. Folsom noticed that the driving of nails had ceased and on calling to Mr. Sires received no response, hence he looked out through a crack in the door and discovered Levi lying on the ground as if he had fallen and injured himself. Hurrying outside he was unable to rouse Mr. Sires, and a doctor was hastily summoned, but to no effect, as Mr. Sires had suffered a heart attack. He was aged 59 years. The family have the sympathy of all in their sad and sudden bereavement. The funeral will be held from the home in this city at three o'clock on the afternoon of Thursday (Thanksgiving Day).
