Memorial services were held on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel in Watertown, with Gayle Small officiating. Shelly Kurkosky was the soloist. Interment will be at a later date in Fordville, ND. Lewetta Mae Moen, the daughter of Thomas and Beatrice (Teal) Casmey was born on April 30, 1922 in Crookston, Minnesota. She grew up in Crookston where she attended school. Lu moved to California where she lived for several years, and then moved to Petersburg, ND. She married Thelman Moen and the couple moved to Park River, ND. Lu worked at a hospital as a Dietitian for many years. She then moved to Watertown, SD where she worked at the Codington County Historical Society. Lu enjoyed camping, shopping, and collecting salt and pepper shakers and kids. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her son, Donald; and her daughter, Paige. She is survived by her children, Clifford Frey of Springfield, TN, Cinda Holeman of West Jordan, UT, Dennis Frey Ventura, CA, Shirley Butterfeild of Nampa, UT, Willis Frey of Springfield, TN, Jeffrey Frey of Ventura, CA, and Al Keeler of Watertown, SD; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
