Rinehart, 70 years old, was instantly killed yesterday at Cavetown as he was returning to his home at Chewsville from Smithsburg in a wagon. Read More	Killed as He Slept Lewis B. Rinehart Victim Of Unusual Railroad Accident Hagerstown, Md., May 9, - Lewis B. Rinehart, 70 years old, was instantly killed yesterday at Cavetown as he was returning to his home at Chewsville from Smithsburg in a wagon. His team was struck by a Western Maryland Railway locomotive, which was returning from Highfield to Hagerstown, after helping to push a heavy freight train over the mountain. Mr. Rinehart fell asleep and the horse he was driving, after crossing the track at Cavetown, wandered along the railroad and was struck by the engine, which was in charge of Engineer T. M. Zombro. The horse was badly mangled, the wagon was completely demolished and the contents of the wagon were scattered along the track for a distance of 100 feet. Mr. Rinehart's body was found unmangled on the pilot of the locomotive, where it remained until the arrival of Justice Ferguson, acting coroner, of Smithsburg, who decided an inquest was unnecessary. Mr. Rinehart was a farmer and fruit grower. Several years ago, while driving across the railroad tracks at the same place, this team was struck by a train. He was thrown out, but escaped with a few cuts and bruises. He married Miss Jennie Brown, a daughter of the late Ignatius Brown, a prominent farmer of Chewsville. Surviving are his widow, six children, Mrs. Clayton Roher, Mrs. William Spessard, of near Chewsville; Charles H. Rinehart, former postmaster of Chewsville; Roy Rinehart, of Chewsville; Mrs. Frank Roher, of Hagerstown, and Mrs. Arthur Spessard, of New Jersey; one sister, Mrs Frederick L.
