Trites, who has been confined to his bed with consumption for the past two or three weeks, died yesterday at three o'clock p.m. Lewis Cass Trites was born near DeWitt, Clinton county, Iowa, June 29, 1848. He married Miss Phoebe C. Grace, December 25, 1877. As a result of this union, three children were born: Edna E., Elsie M. and Grace L. The second named died in infancy. Trites, who has been confined to his bed with consumption for the past two or three weeks, died yesterday at three o'clock p.m. Lewis Cass Trites was born near DeWitt, Clinton county, Iowa, June 29, 1848. He married Miss Phoebe C. Grace, December 25, 1877. As a result of this union, three children were born: Edna E., Elsie M. and Grace L. The second named died in infancy. The deceased was raised on a farm and has following that occupation up until the time of his death. He was an honest hard working man, a man with a great deal of natural ability. He was well thought of by his neighbors and had many warm friends. He was an industrious man, too much so for his physical condition. He must have been a model husband as he was never away from home, only when necessary. Mr. Trites was not a church going man, but was a moral and temperate citizen. The funeral services will be held at the family residence two miles east of town, Friday at ten o'clock a.m. Rev James will deliver the discourse.
