He spent his life in the farming profession and was widely known in the Adel area, and throughout the county. He spent his entire life in Dallas County. Read More	Lewis Boston, of Adel, was born in Waukee, Iowa and passed away at the Methodist Hospital, Des Moines, on August 11, 1976 at the age of 83 years. He spent his life in the farming profession and was widely known in the Adel area, and throughout the county. He spent his entire life in Dallas County. He retired from active farming in 1958 and lived on the farm until the fall of 1965 when he moved to Adel. Lewis enjoyed a full and active life until a few months before his death. He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church. His first wife, Anna, preceded him in death in December 1956. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, one brother, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Boston. He is survived by his wife Hazel; a son Alvin, of Adel; brothers Garland of Adel and Arthur of Johnston. Also three grandsons survive, Dennis, Dean and Dale, all of Adel, as well as five great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. John's Catholic Church on August 14 at 10 a.m. Burial was at the Waukee Cemetery.
