On 2/14/1862 he re-enlisted into "C" Co. as a Private. Elected 1st Lieut 4/15/1862. Acting Regimental Commissary 10/1862-11/1862, 5/1863-7/1863. Acting Brigade Commissary 10/1862-1/1864. Acting Commander of Companies F and K 1864. Commander of Company C 1/16/1865-4/6/1865. POW 4/6/1865 Sayler's Creek, VA.; Released 6/1/1865 Johnson's Island, OH.
