She was a resident of Nickerson, Nebraska since her marriage to George C. “Mick” McGinnis on March 14, 1954. Mrs. McGinnis was employed as a bookkeeper for Fremont Cake and Meal (now Archer-Daniels-Midland). She also worked for Campbell Soup and was a receptionist for Dr. L.G. Lefler. Lila McGinnis was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle. She was also a member of the Mother’s Club, the Lend-A-Hand Club, and the Nickerson Firemen’s Auxiliary. Mrs. McGinnis is survived by her husband, George C. “Mick” McGinnis, a son, David G. McGinnis of Nickerson, her father, Howard Stuenkel of Herman and a sister, Mrs. Berkley (Marian) Wolf of Arlington. Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 2 at the Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle. The Rev. C. VanderStoep officiated. Mrs. McGinnis was buried in the Memorial Cemetery, Fremont.
