May 8, 1917, she was the daughter of Lenzie and Maria Rogers. Mrs. Lewis was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hemingway where she served as president of her womens auxiliary for many years. Born in Hemingway, S.C. May 8, 1917, she was the daughter of Lenzie and Maria Rogers. Mrs. Lewis was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hemingway where she served as president of her womens auxiliary for many years. She was a member of the Christian Friendship Sunday School Class and spoke lovingly of her class members and her church. She was a resident of the Methodist Manor of Florence. Surviving Mrs. Lewis are a son, Henry Ervin Lewis (Barbara) of Florence; a daughter, Nancy Lewis Lee (Marion) of Hemingway; two sisters, Janie Rogers Bushardt (Dan) of Lake City and Margaret Rogers Daniel (Dan) of Florence; a sister-in-law Odell Rogers; three grandsons, Hal Lewis (Suzanne) of Charlotte, N.C., Steve Lewis (Jill) of Lancaster and Scott Weatherly (Chawn) of Palm Beach, Fla.; five granddaughters, Pam Burnett (Reginald) of Pawleys Island, Cindy Sutton (David) of Florence, Charlotte Sullivan (Chris) of Murrells Inlet, Margo Baghdady (Brian) and Rachel Ridgeway (Dave) of Murrells Inlet; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lewis was predeceased by two brothers, Buddy Rogers (Odell) and Marion Rogers (Vickie). Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at the Garden of Devotion. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
