She was born and raised in Lottsburg, Va. and lived there all her life until March 17, 2009 when she moved to Farnham Manor. She was the daughter of the late E. Clinton and Louise Anderson Pearson. She was born and raised in Lottsburg, Va. and lived there all her life until March 17, 2009 when she moved to Farnham Manor. She was the daughter of the late E. Clinton and Louise Anderson Pearson. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Pearson Headley (Sterlin), Betsy Garland (Vince); and her grandchildren, Sarah Tyler Headley, Scott Headley, James William Garland and Daniel Garland. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Emily Todd Headley and by her sisters, Elizabeth, Paynie, Margaret and Nancy. For over 60 years, Miss Lillian was a preschool Sunday school teacher at Coan Baptist Church. She loved caring for her family and friends; cooking chocolate cakes, coconut pies, and corn pudding; canning and pickling during the summer; and caring for her flowers. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds and looked forward to the arrival of the hummingbirds in the spring. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel with interment following in Coan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Marks Chapel this evening (Wednesday) from 6 to 8 p.m. Donations may be made to: Coan Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 156, Heathsville, VA 22473.
