Description	:	Obituary of Lillian Darlene (Robins) Amende passed away Wednesday, the fifth day of April, 1989, at the home of her daughter in Gering, Nebraska. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery. She was born April 16, 1896, on Larabee Creek, north of Rushville, Nebraska to Benjamin and Lila (Abbott) Robins. She attended rural and public schools in the Rushville area. Lillian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chadron State College. She was born April 16, 1896, on Larabee Creek, north of Rushville, Nebraska to Benjamin and Lila (Abbott) Robins. She attended rural and public schools in the Rushville area. Lillian earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chadron State College. Lillian taught at various schools before and after her marriage, was a nurse's aide at the Rushville hospital, owned and operated the Chrysler-Plymouth garage with her husband for a number of years. She taught Sunday School and was baptized in the Methodist Church. Also, she attended the Lutheran Church and was a member of the Golden Age Club, Rushville Study Club, a member of the Sheridan County Historical Society, where she wrote several articles on the life of her father, Benjamin Robins. And she was an Emeritus member of the Nebraska Teachers Association. Lillian and Elmer Amende were married June 25, 1919 at Hot Springs, South Dakota. Two children were born to the union--Adrian and Ardeyne. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Amende, her parents, Benjamin and Lila (Abbott) Robins, three sisters, Fay Robins, Fern (Robins) Nyffler, Filura Elaine (Robins) Hlavacek Smith; and a brother Bennett Robins, and one grandchild, Eugene Mazanec. Survivors include her son, Adrian of Selma, California, her daughter, Ardeyne of Gering, grandchildren are Eddie Amende of Sanger, California, Robert Amended of Caromport, Saskatchewan, Joyce Burchard of Colvis, California, Gregory and Howard Mazanec of Hemingford, Marvin Mazanec of Marsland, Cindy Pestotnick of Gering, Nebraska and Pamela Zitterkopf of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Funeral services were held April 10, at the Morse Memorial United Methodist Church of Rushville with Rev. Alvin Trucano officiting. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
