Description	:	Lillian E. "Bill" Short of Beebe, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born on August 9, 1917 and grew up at Stoney Point. "Bill", during her lifetime, managed a café in Beebe and was a supervisor at a munitions plant in Jacksonville during WWII. She moved to Little Rock where she worked as a telephone operator and married the late Dr. Harold Short. "Bill" Short of Beebe, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born on August 9, 1917 and grew up at Stoney Point. "Bill", during her lifetime, managed a café in Beebe and was a supervisor at a munitions plant in Jacksonville during WWII. She moved to Little Rock where she worked as a telephone operator and married the late Dr. Harold Short. She then returned to Beebe, where she raised her family and helped her husband establish his medical practice. She remained a life-long resident. She had been an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Beebe for over fifty years. She also enjoyed her membership in the Red Hatters and was an "avid conversationalist". She was preceded in death by her parents; William and Edna Fecher; two brothers, Chester Fecher, and Edwin Fecher; and two sisters, Thyla Fecher and Opal Baxter. She is survived by her daughter; Brenda; her son; Harold; four grandsons and a host of special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church in Beebe. Burial will be at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe.
