Description	:	Lillian E. Richter, 92, of Minot, N.D., formerly of Hazen, N.D., died Saturday, April 16, 2011, at Trinity Homes in Minot. Services will be held at 10 a.m. CDT, Monday, April 25, 2011, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with Pastor Walt Wolff officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, one hour prior to the service. Lillian was born Feb. 13, 1919, to Karl Rudolph and Dorothea (Koehler) Richter, in Krem, N.D. Visitation will be Monday, one hour prior to the service. Lillian was born Feb. 13, 1919, to Karl Rudolph and Dorothea (Koehler) Richter, in Krem, N.D. She married Edmund "Eddie" Richter in 1938, and they moved from Krem to Hazen. They had two children a daughter, Bernida (Mrs. Otto Siedschlaw) of Bozeman, Mont., who died in 1986, and a son, Daniel "Danny", Minot. Lillian and Eddie operated a bowling alley-lunch counter and barber shop in Hazen from 1963 to 1973, known as Eddies Lanes and Barber Service. Lillian was the manager of the lunch counter and famous in the area for her hamburgers, pies and soups. The business was destroyed by fire in 1973. She also painted many home interiors in Hazen throughout the years. Edmund died in 1982. Lillian moved to Bozeman in 1984, to live near her daughter. In 1987, she was married to Eldor E. Richter. They made their home in Sacramento, Calif. Eldor died in 1992. Lillian was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hazen, where she was active in the Ladies Aid, serving several terms as treasurer. She was also an associate member of Christ Lutheran Church in Minot. She entered the Brentmoor Assisted Living Facility in Minot in December 2002, and Trinity Homes nursing facility in October 2008, where she resided until her death. Lillian is survived by: two brothers, Levard Richter, of Red Bluff, Calif., and Walter Richter, of Gresham, Ore.; her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Joan Richter, of Minot, N.D. two grandchildren, Terri Richter (Jason Edmonds), Minot, David (Kelly) Richter, Schoolcraft, Mich; and four great-grandchildren, Christopher and Stephanie Edmonds and Cole and Ryle Richter. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Grosz and Millie Boyd; and four brothers, Richard, Harold, Lewis and Leslie.
