She was married to Orville Rogers in 1928 at Cedar Rapids. He preceded her in death. She attended Coe College and Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She taught in rural Benton and Linn County schools and at Thor. She was married to Orville Rogers in 1928 at Cedar Rapids. He preceded her in death. She attended Coe College and Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She taught in rural Benton and Linn County schools and at Thor. She was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church, the Over 55 Club at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fairview Ladies Aid, Fairgrove Homemakers Club and the Women's Club of Cedar Rapids. Surviving are one daughter, Orla Johnson of Calamus; one son, Max of Fairfax, four sisters, Gladys Rindernecht and Mabel Hagan, both of Cedar Rapids, Lavern Hagan of Shellsburg, and Evelyn Hagan of Atkins; one brother, Chester Risdale of Norway; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services 9 am Saturday at Turner Chapel West by Rev Gary Hess of St Mark's Lutheran Church. Burial Fairfax Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 1 to 9 pm today and until just prior to services Saturday when the casket will be closed.
