She was born April 28, 1908, in Colfax County to Frank and Helen (Severa) Noha. She married William L. Pollard in Schuyler. She worked at Schuyler Memorial Hospital as a cook for three years and Schuyler High School as a cook for 10 years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1952. Pollard, 98, of Schuyler died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at Birchwood Manor in North Bend. She was born April 28, 1908, in Colfax County to Frank and Helen (Severa) Noha. She married William L. Pollard in Schuyler. She worked at Schuyler Memorial Hospital as a cook for three years and Schuyler High School as a cook for 10 years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1952. She was a member of St. Augustine Church, past secretary and past president of Little Flower Altar Society, Holy Family Study Club, Study Club chairman for Omaha Archdiocese, president of Schuyler PTA, Schuyler Garden Club, Schuyler Historical Society and local extension clubs. Survivors include: two daughters, Pat (and husband, Marvin) Mohler of David City and Betty Marxsen of North Bend; two sons, Joe (and wife, Kathy) Pollard of Scribner and Don (and wife, Jean) Pollard of Schuyler; a son-in-law, Al Svoboda of Lakewood, Colo.; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two daughters, a son-in-law, three sisters and two greatgrandchildren. The funeral was this morning at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Schuyler with the Rev. Gerald Leise officiating. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery in rural Schuyler.
