Description	:	Lillian Ruby Yapp, daughter of Elizabeth and Milus Ruby, was born December 9, 1871, at Ioka, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Sigourney, November 16, 1937, at 8:40 at the age of 65. In her early childhood she moved with her parents to Story County where they lived for a few years, later moving back to Keokuk County after her mother died. She was united in marriage to Ambrose Estes in Keokuk County in 1890 and they became the parents of six children: Raymond Estes of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Willard Estes of Hedrick; Howard Estes of Highland... Read More	Lillian Ruby Yapp, daughter of Elizabeth and Milus Ruby, was born December 9, 1871, at Ioka, Iowa, and passed away at her home in Sigourney, November 16, 1937, at 8:40 at the age of 65. In her early childhood she moved with her parents to Story County where they lived for a few years, later moving back to Keokuk County after her mother died. She was united in marriage to Ambrose Estes in Keokuk County in 1890 and they became the parents of six children: Raymond Estes of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Willard Estes of Hedrick; Howard Estes of Highland Center; Gilbert Estes of Sigourney; Mrs. Wilbur Bennett of Ottumwa; and Mrs. Ray Caldwell of Cedar Rapids. On February 21, 1930, she became the wife of Linton W. Yapp, Sigourney rural mail carrier. They have maintained their home here since that time. Surviving are her six children, one brother, Jord Ruby of Martinsburg; one sister, Mrs. Alice Gooch of Guthrie, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; and one great grandson. Funeral services will be at the Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be at the West Cemetery. (now Pleasant Grove)
