Description	:	Oroville Lillian Mallory (91), of Oroville passed away March 8, 2005, at the Washington Odd Fellows Home, Walla Walla, WA. She was born July 12, 1913, at Eagle Bend, Minnesota to Mary (Johnson) and Charles Calvin Martin. She came to Oroville by train in the early 20's. She graduated from Oroville High School in 1931. Lillian worked at the local cannery, bakery, telephone office, and Princes store before going to Dr. Stuart Holmes office, where she worked for 35 years, till they both retired in 1987. She was born July 12, 1913, at Eagle Bend, Minnesota to Mary (Johnson) and Charles Calvin Martin. She came to Oroville by train in the early 20's. She graduated from Oroville High School in 1931. Lillian worked at the local cannery, bakery, telephone office, and Princes store before going to Dr. Stuart Holmes office, where she worked for 35 years, till they both retired in 1987. Lillian married Warren D. (Cub) Mallory in 1935, in Oroville. He preceded her in death in January of 1983. Lillian was active in the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Church sewing and quilting group, Ellivoro Rebecca Lodge where she served as Noble Grand, district deputy and representative to Rebecca Assembly of Washington. Also, she spent many years sewing and quilting with the Sunshine Club, Pinochle Club and was a 4H Club Leader. Among her hobbies were cake decorating, crocheting, knitting, and hand crafts. She is survived by 1 stepdaughter, Dorothy Hearn of Spring Valley, California; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 10 great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Isabel Lies and Edith Lies; and her brother, Charles Martin. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, April 22, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at the Oroville United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Campbell, officiating. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or a charity of choice. Bergh Funeral Service, Oroville in care of arrangements.
